What is Pineappli?

Pineappli is an innovative, original and unique concept that makes your digital transformation like child’s play.

Pineappli portrays the visionary character of its designer Jean-Marc Rietsch; international expert in process dematerialization, signature and electronic archiving for more than thirty years.

First of all, it is a European and US patent that offers your data the greatest security ever!

Based on this technology, Pineappli is the first solution that allows you to access all dematerialization services from a single screen: you can easily perform an electronic signature, secure transfers, electronic stamping, send an electronic registered mail, use your electronic safe all within the securest environment possible.

Simple to install and use, Pineappli is compatible with all existing systems, on site or “on premise”, while guaranteeing legal and regulatory compliance.

Pineappli is the “plug & play” solution for all dematerialization services, to simplify your life in complete security and at a low-cost, affordable price!

How mature is the Pineappli solution?
Even though Pineappli is only three years old, it is the fruit of labor of several decades of experience from Jean-Marc Rietsch, a recognized international expert in the fields of security, electronic archiving, electronic signature, and trust services in general.
Is the level of security you are claiming to have legitimate?

Obtaining a patent, at European and US level, on data security is a legitimate guarantee of our dedication to solutions. (Patent filed by Mr. Jean-Marc Rietsch on June 8, 2015, dealing with the “securing of digital data”, bearing the national registration number 15,01179 and European registration number 3304409 and issued on April 7, 2020 in the United States under the number 10,614,230).
Pineappli’s compliance has also been officially recognized by ADACIS, itself certified PASSI (1) by ANSSI (2).

Certification is currently underway with the AMSN (3), for electronic archiving, electronic safe & digitization with probative value, in compliance with the Monegasque law of December 2019.

(1) PASSI: Information systems security audit provider
(2) ANSSI: National Agency for Information Systems Security
(3) AMSN: Agence Monégasque de Sécurité Numérique (Monegasque Digital Security Agency)
Currently, a European certification is also being launched to deal with the same themes.

What guarantees the confidentiality of my data?

The device is designed in such a way that only the user can access his/her safe using their password, which is not saved in the system. Thus, even an administrator does not have access to any user’s data.
If necessary there is a recovery procedure that allows access to the data in a user’s safe via the intervention of a third party escrow agent (notary). The notoray’s main role will be to verify that his/her interlocutor has access rights to the indicated safe. These elements enable us to be fully compliant with the European RGPD regulation.
In addition, the data stored is in the form of blocks (encrypted pieces of the original file) with a different key for each block. This makes it virtually impossible for a third party to access the information without proper authorization.

What does Pineappli bring to the user compared to others?

Thanks to Pineappli, all the files produced daily, whatever the software used (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, …) are de facto secured, which makes it so the use does not have to manually activate a backup procedure. This is because it operates automatically and natively!
This allows Pineappli’s user to:
1. Maintain his/her preferred style of working,
2. To have the certainty of a fail-safe security for all of its data,
3. To have access, from a single screen, to the trusted services they may need including;
– Signature, electronic stamp, timestamp
– Electronic safe
– Recommended electronic
– Secure document transfers
4. Automate certain internal procedures, such as sending invoices or pay slips, and save time.

How are transfers so secure with Pineappli?

The security of transfers happens on two levels:

1. Recipients are locked on a view-only screen before the transfer, unless the sender authorizes their download.
2. All actions concerning a transfer in progress are tracked, i.e. viewing, validating, or downloading with the option of adding a comment. This way Pineappli is able to provide proof of all the traced actions.

What are the guarantees provided by the electronic signature?
The electronic signature is carried out in a confidential way so that the documents being signed are never transferred to the platforms of the electronic signature service providers. It remains in Pineappli, contrary to traditional systems. The service providers we work with are all certified and fully compliant with the laws and regulations in force for electronic signatures.
What guarantee do I have that I will recover all my data when I need it?

Pineappli has implemented a quality plan that includes, in particular, a systematic and permanent verification of the integrity and completeness of the files. The quality plan also includes a verification of the availability of the sites selected as storage spaces. If not, a new storage space is opened and all the data is copied to this new space in a totally transparent manner for the user. Each file exists in several copies (3 in general) and each copy is stored on remote storage spaces.
Thus, we guarantee life time access.

How is Pineappli installed in the Cloud?
No specific installation is required. You just have to open an account for each user who will then be asked to enter his/her password to access the service.
What does “on premise” mean?
We install Pineappli on the customer’s premises within his/her own information system.

This requires the installation of servers adapted in terms of processing and storage capacity, the configuration of available storage space, and the loading time of the Pineappli application.

Can I use Pineappli on my smartphone?
Yes, because Pineappli works in web server mode.

It is therefore possible to use it on a PC, tablet or smartphone, no matter what the operating system is.

What is the difference between the classic safe and the Pineappli safe?

As for electronic archiving, the safes that currently exist on the market are difficult to share between several users and often function as a kind of receptacle at the end of the document production line.

Pineappli offers a wide range of uses, in particular the possibility to open safes shared between well-defined users with different access rights per user. Pineappli also guarantees absolute security in terms of confidentiality for personal safes since even an administrator cannot access them.

What is the difference between Pineappli and a classic backup system?

Pineappli is a revolutionary system that allows the storage of data in such a secure way (three copies of each piece of information are available) that you don’t have to make backups in the classical sense. The classical way is using the procedure of copying the data on a different support system from the one used for daily operations).

What is the difference between Pineappli and an electronic archiving system?
The classic electronic archiving system is difficult to manage, restrictive and expensive, and only deals with “dead” documents that are no longer used. Pineappli offers the same level of security as classic electronic archiving, while also offering the flexibility of use of the documents kept.
What is the difference between an electronic signature and an electronic stamp?
An electronic stamp guarantees the origin and the integrity of a document. An electronic signature requires the intervention of a physical person (the signatory) and guarantees the origin, integrity of the document, and the consent of the signatory.
Advantages of the electronic signature as seen by Pineappli?
We guarantee the availability of an electronic signature no matter what happens since Pineappli works with several signature platforms. These platforms include trusted providers specialized in electronic signatures.

Confidentiality is totally guaranteed as long as the documents to be signed do not leave the Pineappli environment to be signed.

Unlike other solutions, Pineappli, by default, systematically and automatically keeps the document once signed.

Incredible ease of use, thanks to the Pineappli screen, which is extremely intuitive. For example: a single right click on the document is all that is needed to trigger the signing process or to seal the document directly.

What is an electronic registered mail service?

It is a service that allows data to be transmitted electronically between third parties, provides proof of the processing of the data transmitted, including proof of sending and receipt, and protects the data transmitted against the risk of loss, theft, alteration or unauthorized modification.

Pineappli also allows the use of a hybrid registered mail service, which consists of sending the items digitally and having the recipient receive them physically or rematerialized as if they were conventional registered mail.
